Mrs. Reedy and Mrs. Dickenson
E2 - Mrs. Reedy, Teacher Guide
Grades 4,5, and 6
Hello! My name is Beth Reedy and I teach the Montessori E2 class, which includes students in grades 4 through 6. I have taught for the Solon Springs School District since 2012, when I first began by teaching 5th grade. I live in Lake Nebagamon with my husband, step daughter, and Golden Doodle. We love hiking, fishing, paddling, camping and and traveling together. In my "free" time I run a yoga studio in Solon Springs.
My education and licensing includes a teaching license, Masters Degree of Instruction Reading, and also Montessori E2 training.
Our Montessori School has a great community atmosphere, where students, and staff all work together to create a really well-rounded education for our kids. From 4k all the way through sixth grade, students learn grade appropriate skills as well as practical life skills including respect for each other and nature, organization, and responsibility. The Montessori method allows for students to explore topics of their interest and really challenge themselves. I love to see students discover their love for learning and really discover their interests.
E2 - Mrs. Dickenson, Teacher Guide
Grades 4,5, and 6
Hello! My name is Shannon Dickenson! I grew up in Poplar, WI with dreams to be a teacher someday. I now live in Solon Springs with my husband, 3 sons, 6 chickens, and our golden retriever, Sadie. I joined the Solon Springs School District 2000 and have taught a variety of elementary levels and eventually joined the Montessori E2 classroom. I also enjoy coaching the Cross Country and Track teams - GO EAGLES! Outside of school, spending time with my family and friends is really what it's all about, for me! I love to try new things, explore new places, and enjoy year-round activities. Some of my most favorite things to do are downhill and XC skiing, hiking/running, kayaking, cooking, gardening, and reading. I love watching my sons run, play basketball and baseball, and fish. I can't forget to mention food-I love food-all kinds of dishes, but some of my most favorites are omelets, fajitas, salmon, dark chocolate, and COFFEE!
My education and licensing includes Elementary and Early-Childhood Education and also Montessori E2 training.
I am drawn to Maria Montessori's philosophies that drive how our Montessori classrooms operate. When I see children fully engaged in whatever they are learning, it makes me smile. I love following the child and seeing what makes them inspired, engaged, and wanting to learn more about. Four our team, keeping children and their family's needs in mind, while also supporting each other is our priority. We have a dedicated governance board, staff, families, and children, which makes a successful team at Eagles' Wings Montessori School. I find it most joyful and inspiring to work with an amazing Montessori team and our students!
